This book was remarkable for me. I had this image for the past five years or so of being like a welcoming grandmother, even though I am a man, someone who accepts everyone with full presence and compassion and no judgement. Just take people in and hug them. Listen to them. I had no role models for this, just this mysterious image in my mind of a grandmother. I struggle with people and bonding... Like many people, I was brought up to evaluate and judge others and I could see it was separating me from others. When I read about this woman Dipa Ma, I found that Grandmother I had envisioned in my mind. This was her! So I bought this book. This book I am still chewing over... it'll take me time and hard work to expand and become more like Dipa Ma. But this woman is unforgettable, and how she touches people's hearts, wow, I want to do that for other people. There IS a grandmother out there who will embrace you and love you for who you are, with no labels, no constraints, no conditional love, no judgement, and this grandmother can show us all how to do that! Let's heal the world with compassion and with fearlessness! So grateful for this book, it has become a path.
